We will perform maintenance on our Los Angeles LAX-BGP products in two phases: host server upgrades and related work first, followed by the migration of older servers. On the day the migration is complete, bandwidth for all users will be upgraded to 1–2 Gbps free of charge.
Phase 1: Host Server Upgrades
Thursday, October 8, 2026, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Toronto time, EDT)
- We have reserved a 2-hour window. Actual downtime is expected to be around 30 minutes.
- Affected services may be rebooted more than once during the window.
- Work is done host by host, so some services will be back sooner than others.
Phase 2: Older Server Migration
Friday, October 9, 2026, 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Toronto time, EDT)
- Only IPs in the 38.127.*.* range are affected.
- Each server is expected to be offline for only 5–10 minutes.
- Latency may increase during the migration, but service will remain usable overall.
No action is required on your side. Thank you for your patience.
Thank you for your business,
NovixLink
Update: Phase 1 Maintenance Completed
Phase 1 host upgrades and related maintenance have been successfully completed. Only Phase 2, the legacy server migration, remains. It will proceed as scheduled on Friday, October 9, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM (Toronto Time, EDT), affecting only the 38.127.*.* IP range.
VPS instances will be migrated individually, with each VPS expected to experience only 5–10 minutes of downtime. They will not all go offline simultaneously. Maintenance for all other LAX-BGP services is now complete, with no further scheduled downtime tomorrow.
Once the migration is complete, all LAX-BGP customers will receive a complimentary bandwidth upgrade to 1–2 Gbps at no additional cost. If you experience any issues, please feel free to submit a support ticket at any time.
