Update - 6:20 PM Toronto Time: Maintenance Progress & Security Information

This emergency maintenance was primarily carried out to address recently disclosed high-risk Linux kernel vulnerabilities, including CVE-2026-99999. The vulnerability affects kernel network packet processing and, if left unpatched, could potentially be exploited to cause host memory corruption or service interruptions. In severe cases, it could compromise virtual machine isolation, expose sensitive information, or allow unauthorized code execution, potentially putting other VPS instances and customer data at risk.

Given these potentially serious consequences, we decided to prioritize immediate security remediation rather than wait for a longer maintenance notice period. Fortunately, we were able to take preventive action promptly. Following our security investigation, we have ruled out exploitation of this vulnerability and customer data breaches related to this incident. Please rest assured that we remain committed to monitoring emerging security threats, responding promptly, and applying necessary security updates to protect customer data and services.

As of this update, maintenance has been completed largely as planned. All servers have returned to normal operation except for one server in Germany, which is still experiencing an issue. We are coordinating with the data center to restore service as soon as possible.

If your VPS is still experiencing connectivity or service issues, please feel free to submit a support ticket. Our team will investigate and assist promptly. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support.

Update - 10:30 PM Toronto Time: Germany Node Recovery & Service Compensation

We have provided 3 days of complimentary service time to Germany VPS customers who experienced additional disruption beyond the scheduled maintenance due to the hardware issue. As of this update, all servers have returned to normal operation.

Following on-site troubleshooting and emergency repairs by our data center provider, we confirmed that the issue was caused by a damaged CPU core in the Germany host. Temporary mitigation measures are now in place. Thanks to the computing capacity we have reserved for redundancy, VPS performance remains unaffected, and all existing customer data and IP addresses remain unchanged.

We will schedule a separate maintenance window to permanently resolve the underlying hardware issue. Please rest assured that we remain committed to maintaining secure and reliable infrastructure, responding promptly to operational issues, and ensuring service stability.

If you encounter any issues, please feel free to submit a support ticket. Thank you for your continued understanding, trust, and support.
