FAQ

1. What is a residential broadband IP? How is it identified?

The IP type is determined by the ASN that the IP belongs to, not by where the server is physically located. ASN stands for Autonomous System Number and can be understood as “the network operator that owns this IP.” An IP under a datacenter ASN is a datacenter IP, which usually has average unlocking performance and stricter risk control, and different datacenters vary widely. An IP under an ISP-type ASN is a residential IP, and when that ISP is itself a home broadband provider, it is a residential broadband IP.

Home broadband providers sell internet access to local households, so their IPs belong to the same operator used daily by local residents and have unlocking and risk-control performance closest to a real residential environment. Because these providers serve consumers and offer little or no enterprise wholesale, the resource is rare and costly, and it has no China-optimized bandwidth, so it is not suitable for direct access from mainland China.

If you are sure you need a broadband IP and already have a cross-border acceleration solution, we recommend this product. Otherwise, our China-optimized residential IP products are simpler with similar results. The standard is set out in Section 4.2 of the Terms of Service (https://novixlink.com/legal/terms-of-services?language=english) and the IP lookup guide (https://novixlink.com/knowledgebase/48/?language=english).

2. How do you guarantee that the IP is static and dedicated?

Every VPS sold on our website includes a long-term static dedicated IP unless it is clearly identified as a NAT shared-IP product. Each service provides a complete virtualized environment. More than 60,000 ports are available by default; only outbound ports 25 and 2525 are restricted to protect IP reputation and control spam.

Usage Notes
  • IP reuse: Each IP has a cooling-off period of 48 hours to 7 days before reassignment, and we monitor abuse reports and maintain IP reputation throughout the rental period.
  • Third-party services: We guarantee that the IP is operated by a real home broadband provider. Whether accounts, stores, streaming, or AI platforms succeed also depends on account information, devices, browser fingerprints, usage habits, and other factors, and IP is only one of them. Scores on third-party detection websites do not represent a platform’s actual judgment.
  • Connectivity: The broadband IP is guaranteed to be reachable within its local country. International routes are not optimized and there is no China-optimized bandwidth, so your own cross-border acceleration solution is recommended.
  • Usage restrictions: Broadband resources are strictly reviewed and must not be used for public forwarding, copyright-sensitive content, spam, fraud, phishing, or any other use that violates the Terms of Service. Violations result in termination without refund.
Product Introduction

This product uses a non-China-optimized route for mainland China, and we recommend preparing your own cross-border acceleration service. It provides rare, native, clean dual-ISP home broadband residential IPs from Cox Communications, a real local home broadband provider in Las Vegas on the US West Coast, directly sourced from the origin network. It natively unlocks almost all US services and is suitable for cross-border e-commerce, social media operation, advertising, AI platform usage, and similar scenarios.

Cox’s parent company entered the cable television industry in 1962 and is one of the largest home broadband and cable television providers in the United States. It has long provided stable home broadband, cable television, mobile data, and other local communication services to US residents. All plans include SSD storage and RAID10 arrays, making them also suitable for foreign trade website hosting. With real local fiber access, directly contracted dedicated bandwidth resources, self-operated routers, switches, and host servers, this product provides stable U.S. network interconnection quality and uptime performance.
